Covid-19 Money Stress

Manage Money Stress

It’s normal to be worried about money right now. But there are some positives.

  1. Think of the money you’re saving by staying home more often (less driving, fewer meals out).
  2. Find creative ways to save more. A lot of businesses are offering free or discounted deals.
  3. Take some time at home to go over your budget. Plan out your next few weeks to feel more secure.
  4. If you do not have a rainy day fund, the time to start is now.
    1. Try to have enough money to cover three to six months’ worth of essentials (these are the thing you need like rent and food) saved up. This fund will give you some cushion in case you lose your job or need to take on extra expenses.
    2. Set a goal of having the equivalent of your annual salary saved up. This may seem pretty unrealistic but start small and see how that goes.

Male logic joke

*This is a story which is perfectly logical to all males:*   A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6."   A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.  The wife asks him, "Why the hell did you buy 6 cartons of milk?"   He replied, "They had eggs."

Joke: Apparently, ice is really bad for you

When you drink vodka over ice, it can give you kidney failure. When you drink rum over ice, it can give you liver failure. When you drink whiskey over ice, it can give you heart problems. When you drink gin over ice, it can give you brain problems. Apparently, ice is really bad for you. Warn all your friends. Click here for a vegetarian joke.
