The Siberian Santa Claus - Ded Moroz

The Siberian Santa Claus

In Siberia, the eastern part of Russia close to Asia, he’s known as "Ded Moroz."    A literal translation of the name would be "Old Man Frost", although recently, the name is translated as "Father Frost"

Ded Moroz is usually shown wearing a full length fur trimmed coat with a fur hat.  His coat is usually blue or red, much more ornate than our Santa.  He often has a long magical staff or walking stick.

Male logic joke

*This is a story which is perfectly logical to all males:*   A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6."   A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.  The wife asks him, "Why the hell did you buy 6 cartons of milk?"   He replied, "They had eggs."
