Parent Trap - list of far-fetched things in the movie

  1. Conception - The movie begins on the Queen Elizabeth II at Nick and Liz's wedding. The next scene is the beginning of camp...11 years and 9 months later. They are implying that the twins were conceived on that ship. Assuming camp began in June, this would mean the girls date of conception was probably in September/October but we know their birthday is October 11th so they were conceived in January. Now, if they were conceived in January, that would have been a very cold cruise across the Atlantic so fireworks would probably not have been blasted during the voyage.
  2. Camp - It is highly unlikely that the two parents would have sent their kid to the same camp at the same time...especially given the location of the camp.
  3. Drop off - No parents are seen dropping their kids off? Something is strange about that.
  4. Counselors - Why are there only two adults running this camp? Where the heck are the counselors?
  5. Boy - A boy ends up at a girl’s only camp but we see this kid later so they apparently didn't call his parents or his parents were called but didn't bother to come.
  6. Fencing - Both girls have been trained in fencing?
  7. Swords - This camp provides the kids with actual swords for them to practice fencing?
  8. Card game - the odds of a straight flush and royal flush in the same hand with only two players are astronomical.
  9. Money - The girls brought money to play poker?
  10. Supervision - No counselors are supervising these kids while one jumps in the lake butt naked?
  11. Prank #1 - It would not be possible for the girls to have hoisted those beds to the top of the cabin...and without being noticed.
  12. Prank #2 - There is no way the girls could have pulled off the elaborate scheme at Navajo in the dark without waking anyone up. Where did they get the supplies for this?
  13. Clueless - The Camp Director and Assistant were apparently asleep at the wheel and had no idea of the pranks that were going on until like Day 4. By then, it got so out of hand that an entire cabin was destroyed.
  14. Isolation Cabin - The isolation cabin would be cruel and dangerous punishment. There was zero supervision which could result in one of them poking a hole in the other's ear lobes. It is hard to imagine a camp punishing the girls like this. How long are they supposed to stay in the isolation cabin, anyway?
  15. Engagement - Nick gets engaged to a woman (Meredith) he met two months ago and did not bother to tell Hallie until two weeks before the wedding.
  16. Horseback - Annie is a very skilled horseback rider considering she is a London city girl. Yeah, I'm not buying it.
  17. Boat - Renting the boat for the night to re-create the QE2 seems like a challenge for these two audacious twins even if they called long distance to get Grandpa's money to finance it.
  18. Rocks - Meredith would have noticed that rocks were in her back pack.
  19. Lake prank - Even with a large sleeping pill, Meredith would have to have been a deep sleep to not notice they were taking her to the lake.
  20. Concorde - Hallie and her father would not have been able to get to Annie and her mother's house before they did, even if they did take the Concorde.

Male logic joke

*This is a story which is perfectly logical to all males:*   A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6."   A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.  The wife asks him, "Why the hell did you buy 6 cartons of milk?"   He replied, "They had eggs."
