Hiking: Palm Springs Tram to San Jacinto Peak

So, here are pictures from my trip from the Palm Springs Tram to San Jacinto Peak.

You park at the base of the mountain. A shuttle will come by and pick you up.

The inner workings of the tram can be seen from the base.
Here are some pictures on the way up.

We went on the  Long Valley Discovery Trail which is about 1.2 miles. There are five notches with beautiful views.

We agreed that notch #3 is the best so don't skip it.

When we got back we walked up to the vista at the top and saw this little guy eating a Cheeto:

Some folks like to throw coins out there for good luck:

This ride is not cheap. It costs $107 for the tickets and we got pictures which the wife thought we needed. Those were another $49. Yikes!

Male logic joke

*This is a story which is perfectly logical to all males:*   A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6."   A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.  The wife asks him, "Why the hell did you buy 6 cartons of milk?"   He replied, "They had eggs."
