  1. Honesty
    1. Do what you say you will do. This causes other people to trust you. 
    2. Trust is fragile and takes years to earn. It must be re-earned each time you have contact with a person.
  2. Self-discipline
    1. Successful people are able to stick to the task at hand.
    2. The more successful you become, the more unpleasant the tasks will be that you have to perform.
  3. Toughness/resilience
    1. The ability to lock onto a problem and pursue it through many disappointments and failures to a successful solution.
  4. Pride
    1. Take pride in what you are doing.
  5. Knowledge
    1. Successful people know more about their particular industry than anyone else.
    2. Decisions are made by logic and careful thought.
  6. Competitive
    1. Successful people love to finish first.
